Good news regarding the construction of the \u00c3\u0081rbol deVida EFC sanctuary in Hermosillo!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hola!<\/strong>

I was reading in Psalm 50 this morning about how God isn’t needy for the stuff we could possibly give Him but what He loves most is a thankful heart<\/em>!<\/strong>

I write with a thankful heart on my behalf and on the behalf of the Arbol de Vida Church!\u00c2\u00a0 The pastor team told me to make sure that their brothers and sisters in Canada know that they are very thankful for your prayers and contributions to the building of their sanctuary!<\/em><\/strong>

Even with the unprecedented changes and challenges in our world these days, God has helped the \u00c3\u0081rbol de Vida church to be able to continue building!<\/strong> Even though Canadian construction ministry teams haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t been able to go and help, God has provided church members and local workers to carry on the construction.

A couple of highlights and prayer requests\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>
\u00c2\u00a0
The roof system and installation has been purchased!<\/strong> With the\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0instability in the markets and exchange rates, our Canadian dollars went farther than expected.\u00c2\u00a0 We were trying to pay for the roof system in the\u00c2\u00a0 middle of March but \u00e2\u20ac\u0153for some reason\u00e2\u20ac\u009d it kept being delayed.\u00c2\u00a0 By the\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 time we paid the bill, the exchanged rate changed saving us around $4,000 CDN!\u00c2\u00a0 <\/strong>The actual installation will be slow due to the lock-down\u00c2\u00a0in Mexico but it is on its way!

Another blessing has been able to employ Pacho,<\/strong> (a welder from \u00c3\u0081rbol de Vida who did the majority of the welding of the roof truss system), who would be out of work right now if it wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t for our support. We are also keeping our bricklayer Francisco, and his helper, working to provide for\u00c2\u00a0 their families.\u00c2\u00a0

Sadly, many people we know in Mexico live day to day and some are literally paid each day.\u00c2\u00a0 Right now, many are out of work and are struggling to survive due to the strict lock-down in Hermosillo.\u00c2\u00a0 For the majority there is no social \u00e2\u20ac\u0153safety net\u00e2\u20ac\u009d nor government subsidies to help. I read in the\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0Hermosillo news this morning that over 300 people have already been\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 fined for non-essential movement in the city.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0

Please pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ in Mexico!\u00c2\u00a0 Please pray for God’s provision as we continue to partner with the congregation of the \u00c3\u0081rbol de Vida Church even though we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re at a distance.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0Pray as they respond to critical needs of members of the\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0congregation during this COVID-19 crisis and that the Gospel would bring new people to hope in Christ in these dark days.
