Recovering…
1:24pm – Thursday
Shelli is happy to be at home after 4 days in hospital. She said that she was pleased with the care in the CIMA hospital (as opposed to the care (nursing mostly-the doctors are great here in Mexico) she received when Caleb was born there almost 7 years ago. So now Mom Hoszouski and the kids and I take over to nurse our Shelli back to health. Thank you for all your notes of prayer and encouragement and concern. You can pray that I won’t make Shelli laugh too hard in the coming days, which is hard when you look like I do… anyways Shelli wanted me to add that prayer request as laughing isn’t the best medicine when it literally is possible for it to be “side-splitting”. Thanks!

8:38am – Thursday
I spent the night with Shelli in the hospital. The doctor has given the green light to come home today. We’ll let you know when she’s home!

3:50pm – Wednesday
The doctor wants Shelli to stay an extra night to make sure she is through the worst of the pain, so hopefully we’ll have our mommy back home Thursday. Shelli is doing better and having some ladies from the church visiting. Thank you for covering Shelli with prayer.
9:30am – Wednesday
Shelli had a good rest last night and is just waiting for the doctor to visit this morning to see if she will be going home today. Thank you to all of you that have been encouraging us through your words, email, calls and prayers!
4:00pm – Tuesday
Shelli is doing much better ever since about 7:00am (I haven’t had a chance to update until now, sorry) when the doctors changed her pain medication. It seems that she reacts to narcotics-based pain killers as they tried 4 different ones through the course of the night last night with no success. So thank the Lord she’s doing much better now and is up and walking with assistance to the bathroom and back. The plan is for her to be home tomorrow. Thank you for your continued prayer.
5:20am – Tuesday
Shelli’s mom just called from the hospital asking us to pray that they would find a way to control the pain without bringing on vomiting. Shelli went through the night without pain killers because every one they would try would start the nausea again. Thanks for taking this to the Lord in prayer.
10:10pm – Monday
Shelli just called from the hospital to say that they took her off morphine and the nausea has calmed down. She hadn’t vomited for an hour, so that is great news. Thanks for your continued prayer!

8:10pm Monday
Shelli’s surgery went well although we need you to please pray that the nausea that is causing her to vomit every 15 minutes will stop as it causes a lot of stress on the abdomen where her stiches are. Thanks so much for your prayer. Will keep updating this as things change.
