Design on a Dime

This was the sixth “Design on a Dime” that we have had the privilege of doing.  The basic philosophy behind this ministry is blessing someone with a partial home makeover that wouldn’t be able to do it themselves due to other needs.  Shelli loves the opportunity to sit down with the person/family and plan out paint colors, etc. keeping the cost of the whole project to a “dime” (or thereabouts!).   Normally we have done it with Canadian ladies that are doing other ministries while their husbands minister in construction.  This time in was the ladies from the Bergen Evangelical Missionary Church that had the privilege to bless Martina, an amazing lady from our church with 4 teen-age and up kids that works extremely hard to provide for her kids and their education. 

Here Liz Cunningham and Esther Weeks are sewing up curtains for the house.

There have always been tears of joy (kind of like what you see on the Home Decorating Channel…) when the final product is shown to the blessee.
