Good to be back (in Mexico)!
It was one year ago yesterday Shelli that was hospitalized here in Mexico with uncontrolable spasms/seizures.  Our family was thrown into a time of much change with many unknowns before us.  Our faith was tested and purified as Jesus walked with us through the valley.  We thank God for the miracle of healing that He worked in Shelli and for the opportunity to be back in ministry in Mexico.  It is much easier to look back on all that happened last summer and fall knowing what we know now and having experienced God’s tender care through the storm.
We thank God for a safe trip back to Mexico. Â We had a little hassle at one point as our van was broken into and a couple laptops, a phone and a camera were stolen. Â Our passports were also in the van but they weren’t touched so it could have been worse. Â All in all we had a great time as a family, even crying together as we sent Talson back to Canada for the summer and grade 12. Â It has been a week since we said good-byeand we are still having “hey-where’s-Talson” moments often and miss him very much.
We have been moving back into our house after the Elliott family moved out just weeks before our return. Â Lane and Sheri and their children have returned to Canada permanently. Â We are going to miss them here. Â Moving back into our house has felt great. Â Shelli was just saying how she feels so good just being in her home again.
This Sunday we are doing a trial run on having a second service at Arbol de Vida to make room for the new people that God is bringing. Â It will be my (Greg’s) first multi-service experience at preaching and I am excited. Â I am continuing as pastor and am so privileged to have a very supportive leadership team to work with. Â We are excited about the future!
Please pray for a quick settling back into life and ministry for us. Â Please pray for us as we aclimatize. Â It has been over 40C everyday. Â Please pray for Talson as he works and studies in Canada. Â Please pray for wisdom as we make the adjustments necessary to stay healthy as we minister here.
Thank you!
Grace and peace
