Home in Mexico!
Thank you Lord!
We are very thankful for a safe trip home over the 3200 kms that separate us from Didsbury, AB. Â Yesterday, we had a wonderful day of worship and fellowship in Arbol de Vida among our family here. Â The church put on a delicious “carne asada” (Mexican Bar BQ) to welcome us home.
Thank you for your prayers as we travelled! Â God helped us get home safely even after our trailer lights went haywire after getting drenched in a deluge in Flagstaff, AZ. Â God has also been answering other prayer in other areas. Â Some of you know and were praying (thank you!!!) about the last minute shuffle of vehicles we had to do to be able to comply with the new requirements of our visas here in Mexico. Â God provided an excellent van that met the requirements to be imported here and also has sold the van that we urgently need to sell! Â Praise the Lord!!! Â God also answered my cry to Him for help on a situation regarding our kid’s visas that has weighed on my heart for some months!
It was a blessing to get home and be welcomed by Miguel (the young man that has lived with us over the past 2 years as we wait for a kidney transplant for him) and to see him still waiting on the Lord’s healing. Â He is slowly healing from some recent surgeries to correct the vein they use to do dialysis on him. Â It is great to see progress. Â Shelli and Miguel just got back from an appointment with the doctor in charge of his blood work and they also talked to the doctor that is looking into an issue that Miguel has with his lungs. Â The report is positive. Â Please pray that the tests they are running on Miguel do not show TB as this would postpone any possibility of a transplant for many months. Â At this point it looks like we will continue to work with the General Hospital here (for dialysis and waiting for a transplant) and just use the private system as a supplement when needed. Â We will keep you posted on his situation. Â Please pray that he would gain weight as well as he is quite gaunt.
We are excited to welcome a youth team arriving this evening from Stonewall, MB! Â They will be helping in many ministries, but mainly our VBS outreach that is starting tomorrow in Arbol de Vida. Â Please pray for their health and safety in the extreme heat and with the changes in diet, etc. Â Please pray that many children would understand the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that seeds would be planted in the lives of many that would bring forth an great spiritual harvest!
I will sign off for now. Â Thank you to all of you that are praying for us and our church family here!
Joyfully serving Jesus and the ones He came to save,
Greg, Shelli, Talson, Annelise and Caleb Neufeld
