Prayer always needed!
Hola from Mexico!
I’ve been reading Andrew Murray’s “A Plea For Intercessory Prayer” and listening to different teachings on prayer and also been impressed upon by the Holy Spirit to pray and wait on the Lord to work. Prayer is needed! Here is a quote from Andrew Murray’s book that hit me. “Let all lovers of souls, and all workers in the service of the gospel, take courage. Time spent in prayer will yield more than that given to work. Prayer alone gives work its worth and its success.”
So, I just wanted to communicate a few needs that we are waiting on God to provide for. I won’t go into a deep explanation of each one as this post would turn into a book, but please pray in faith knowing that God knows the background information better than anyone…
1. That Cesar Rodriquez would be freed soon. We have been waiting along with Marcela and Alhya for his release since evidence came forth proving his innocence. He has been in jail for almost 3 months. There are many needs in this situation. Please pray!
2. Our Miguel is getting closer to getting on the transplant list. Please pray for a couple things that he needs. He needs his wisdom teeth pulled as soon as possible, he needs to have good blood counts, he needs to stay free from infections, he needs courage, strength and patience to get through this. We are hoping he can be on the list for a possible Christmas kidney transplant. Miguel has been living with us for 2 years this month. Please pray!
2. Our fellow missionaries, Lane and Sheri Elliott and their 5 kids are waiting to be united to be able to come back down to serve with us! We miss them greatly! Their youngest 2 (adopted twins from Haiti) still need some signatures and documents to be brought home to live with their family. Please pray!
4. Please pray for our annual Ladies Retreat this coming weekend. Shelli is excited about all the women that are registered and about having her good friend from Mexico City, Becky Muñoz, coming to minister and teach. Please pray for salvation, restoration, healing, freedom and all the other wonderful things the Holy Spirit does through times like these!
5. Please pray for the calling of faithful, wise, Spirit-filled men to help in the leadership of our church. Please pray!
6. Please pray for Annelise and Caleb as they shine the light of Jesus in the school they attend here and for Talson as he is homeschooling.
There are many other needs as we deal with marriages in crisis, families in crisis, poverty relief, logistical, legal and immigration type stuff. There is never a dull moment in life and ministry! We pray that God would be glorified in all these things as we joyfully serve Him!
Thank you for your prayer!
In Christ,.
