Lots of good-byes these days…
We’ve been blessed with the fellowship of many special people over the last months. Jack and Lucy Vogt and their son Joshua spent 4 months here as they escaped the Yukon winter to minister in many ways here in Arbol de Vida. Teaching Bible & English, Construction and team hosting plus many other ministries filled their time. The Vogts left last Friday leaving many new friends behind. We hope to see them back next winter.
We have been blessed to have my sister-in-law Ardith’s parents, Paul & Esther Weeks here for 3+ weeks. They pull out tomorrow morning leaving a huge amount of blessing in many forms including: curtains for the church, some of the best cinnimon buns I’ve ever had (almost as good as yours, Mom!), 4 sets of bunk beds for the new dorm rooms, 3 cabinets for Sunday school rooms and many other needed wooden furniture type stuff for ministry in Arbol de Vida. It was a joy to spend time with and be encouraged by “Grandpa and Grandma Weeks” (to our kids).Â
Tomorrow we also say good-bye to Laura Linares, who heads back to South Carolina to her family. Laura and her husband and two daughters spent 3 years in Agua Viva/Arbol de Vida and have a special place in our hearts.
Good-bye for now…
