Proud of our kids!
Our kids have been full-time in Colegio Emaús a Christian School here in Hermosillo and doing great. We are so glad they are doing well. Here are some of their school photos.
Caleb is in grade one and doing great! He enjoys reading in Spanish more than in English because at least Spanish has rules that don’t have a hundred exceptions!

Annelise is doing really well too! Her Spanish is great and she works very hard to get good grades. Her best friend at school is Ana Laura.Â

Talson is on the far right in this photo with his class. One of his best friends is Ariel. Talson is also doing awesome!
Getting used to school in your own culture, knowing all the slang, putting up with teasing in your own language is tough for kids. Imagine having to find your place in a different culture, different language, not understanding the teasing (we’re thankful that the Lord has kept our kids from being teased too much but there are cruel kids in every school and their’s isn’t an exception) and try to learn at the same time. There’s nothing worse than watching your kids suffer in trying to adapt. We’re proud of our kids! And it helps us understand how the immigrants in Canada must feel as they deal with it there.Â
Thank you Lord for giving us such great kids!
